March to September you can enjoy fishing privately in front of your own home
on the River Nore. The River Nore & Warrington are well known for wild
brown trout and salmon fishing. The avergae trout size is 10-12 oz with a few
over 1 lb. The River Nore rises on the eastern slopes of the Devil’s Bit
Mountain in Co. Tipperary. At first it flows East through Borris in Osory and
then turns south through Kilkenny and The Still Warrington. The river is eighty
seven miles long with the banks lined with trees.
Horse Riding & Golf
Warrington Top Flight Equesterian Centre is less than five minutes away
from The Still Warrington. The Centre run is by the Maloney family who
compete internationally in show jumping and eventing.
However if you like golf you would love the fact that Mount Juliet Golf
Course is less than forty five minutes away from The Still Warrington.
Mount Juliet is the first and only Jack Nicklaus signature course in Ireland
and described by Tiger Woods as “Absolutely gorgeous”.
